4. Charge Nurse (Female) — BS-16

Department: Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department

• Posts: 1,958 (1,801 Open Merit, 59 Special Persons, 98 Minority Quota)
• Nature of Job: Contract basis, 3 years
• Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing Generic (4 years) with valid PNC registration; OR Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with valid PNC registration. Preference to graduates of government institutions.
• Age Limit: Female 21–28 (+8 = 36 yrs)
• Gender: Female & Female Transgender only
• Domicile: Any district of Punjab

• Test: MCQ, 100 marks, 90 minutes — Qualification-related questions (100%)

Special note for Charge Nurse post: Candidates who applied to PNC for registration/renewal before the closing date but haven’t received their card yet may still apply, provided they submit documentary proof of application.

General Instructions for All Posts

1. Read the “Important Instructions” on the official PPSC website (www.ppsc.gop.pk) before applying.
2. Test schedules and syllabus updates are posted only on the official website — check regularly.
3. No age relaxation for service in Federal/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies or Local Bodies.
4. Foreign/local equivalent qualifications require an HEC or QEDC equivalence certificate.
5. Private-sector experience claims require proof of firm registration with SECP or the relevant regulatory authority.
6. In-service candidates must have NOC/DPC from their department.
7. Relevant council/body registration certificates (PEC/PNC/PMDC/PMC/PVMC etc.) must be obtained on/before the closing date.
8. Degree marks/percentage certificates required — CGPA is not acceptable.
9. Only information on the official PPSC website is authentic.
10. Shorthand/Typing & Proficiency Tests (if required) held only at Lahore.
11. No fresh applications invited if the number of posts changes later.
12. Application fee payable only via ATM, mobile banking, internet banking, over-the-counter (1Link member banks), JazzCash, EasyPaisa, UPaisa, or other listed microfinance banks.
